Delta Recycling Pompano consists of a materials recovery facility (MRF) and two contiguous borrow pit reclamation facilities owned and operated by Waste Management.  Prior to Waste Management assuming operations at the site circa 2004, Globex performed a due diligence investigation, including a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment and a compliance audit, on the property.  Since 2004, Globex has performed numerous projects at the site.  A list of general projects performed by Globex at Delta Recycling Pompano is presented below:

Permitting
Globex has prepared applications for the renewal of the operating permits for the MRF and both borrow pit reclamation facility operations. 

Compliance Monitoring – Water Quality
Globex has performed routine semiannual and annual ground water monitoring at the MRF and the two borrow pit reclamation facilities.  In addition, Globex has prepared a Ground Water Evaluation Monitoring Plan (EMP) to address water quality exceedances at the site, and it has implemented quarterly ground water and surface water monitoring at the site in accordance with the EMP.  Globex has replaced several ground water monitoring wells at the site that had been damaged.

Miscellaneous
Globex has prepared a Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plan and annual closure cost estimates for the site.
