Globex provided numerous technical services at Immokalee Landfill for Waste Management Inc. The scope of work performed by Globex personnel has included:

Routine Landfill Regulatory Compliance Monitoring

• Semiannual ground water monitoring for both the landfill and the transfer station, including coordination of sampling events with the analytical laboratory, review of sampling data, preparation of monitoring reports, forms and ground water contour maps;
• Annual leachate monitoring, including review of sampling data, preparation and submittal of monitoring reports to FDEP; and
• Biennial water quality report preparation, summarizing the results of the four most recent semi-annual monitoring events.

Design, Permitting and Construction Services

• Prepare and submit to FDEP an application for modifications to the final cover system with a geomembrane cover and geocomposite drainage layer;
  
• Prepare and submit to FDEP an application for a Class I and construction and demolition debris materials recovery facility (MRF), designed to avoid impacts to on-site wetlands;

Environmental Engineering

• Testing to characterize hydraulic characteristics of on-site soils;
• Hydraulic modeling of the site;
• Evaluation of impact of surface water management system on wetlands;
• Preparing an Environmental Resources Permit (ERP) application for the surface water management system for the existing landfill and proposed MRF and responding to FDEP comments
