Suncoast Roofers Site | Broward County, Florida, USA | Client: Haydon-Rubin Development, Inc.

The Suncoast Roofers site is located in Pompano Beach, Florida.  The Suncoast Roofers site includes approximately 4 acres of land within the footprint of the North Broward County Dump.  The North Broward County Dump site consists of approximately 80 acres that were mined starting around 1960.  Portions of the excavated areas were reportedly backfilled with solid waste and septic sludge between 1960 and 1971.

Suncoast Roofers purchased the site in September 2005 with the intention of constructing a commercial office and warehouse at the site.  The development consists of approximately 1.8 acres of paved parking area and 1.2 acres of building.

Globex provided many services at this facility as part of the developer team.  All work performed by Globex was conducted in accordance with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s “Guidance for Disturbance and Use of Old Closed Landfills or Waste Disposal Areas in Florida.”  A list of general projects performed by Globex at the Suncoast Roofers site is presented below:
